Dealer Reserve had a strong product but faced two key growth challenges. First, competitors were beginning to match core features, creating limited differentiation in a competitive market with increasing pricing pressure. Second, the platform had deal structure limitations—it could help finance managers find the best deal structure from standard options, but without AI, it could not generate complex, creative, and more profitable deal structures that a human wouldn't be able to do in a real-time sales conversation. As a result, dealerships were leaving significant profit on the table and the platform wasn't unlocking its full value.
