We partnered with Gifted to design and build a mobile app that looks and feels just like a modern banking tool—but with one big difference: it uses new technology behind the scenes to make transfers instant and low-cost. Importantly, the end user never sees or touches the 'crypto' powering the system; they just see dollars and local currency. The app gives families and businesses a modern alternative to outdated remittance services and lays the foundation for broader expansion into other regions.

The Vision
Sending money from the U.S. to Central Africa is slow, expensive, and frustrating. Traditional providers like Western Union charge high fees and take days to deliver funds. Gifted wanted to change that by creating an easier, faster, and more affordable way for people to send and receive money internationally. The challenge was building a solution that could leverage new technology (crypto) to solve these problems while maintaining a simple, familiar user experience that didn't require users to understand or interact with the underlying technology.
Our Approach
We partnered with Gifted to design and build a mobile app that looks and feels just like a modern banking tool—but with one big difference: it uses new technology behind the scenes to make transfers instant and low-cost. Importantly, the end user never sees or touches the 'crypto' powering the system; they just see dollars and local currency. We built a mobile app where people can hold balances in U.S. dollars or Central African francs, with the ability to send money instantly to another user, whether in the same currency or across currencies. We created a simple way to add funds and withdraw them, with an easy experience that hides all the complexity, and implemented clear transaction history so users always know where their money went.
